Safety Manager appointed at Yokogawa

Yokogawa has appointed Andy Yam as National Safety Systems Manager for their Australian Operations.

Yam joins Yokowaga Australia bringing more than 14 years industry-orientated safety instrumented systems engineering and marketing experience to the company.

“Our mission is to build a significant safety systems business,” said Andy. “My role is to develop and strengthen the existing dedicated team of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) specialists in YAU, as well as aid the sales teams by providing vital technical support and industry knowledge.”

With plans to install a Functional Safety Management system, YAU will soon ensure compliance with international functional safety requirements in all SIS implementation activities.

Furthermore, Andy maintains that an important part of YAU’s role as SIS vendors is to add value to its services by advising clients on functional safety matters where necessary, particularly to ensure SIS designs comply with safety standards.
