    This course provides an overview of the operation, performance and maintenance of large coal-fired boiler-turbine-generator plants, and introduces the student to the context for operating power plants of all types in competitive energy markets.

    HAZOP Study for Team Leaders and Team Members

    This integrated course provides effective HAZOP training for both team leaders and team members. As well as presentations covering all essential aspects of the method, there are workshops on HAZOPs for continuous processes, sequential operations and computer-controlled plant. The relationship between HAZOP and other hazard identification (HAZID) methods and hazard studies is discussed. Participants with experience in HAZOP study should consider applying as a team leader. Newcomers to the technique will benefit from attending as a team member. Participants attending as team leaders must have experience of HAZOP. Team members may have little or no experience of HAZOPs, although some background will be helpful.

This assessment-based certificate program includes an intimate classroom experience, individual and team-based exercises, and individual evaluations of achievement.     Mission Critical Network Design Seminar

    Participants at the Belden/Hirschmann Seminar will learn essential skills for mission critical signal transmission infrastructure. World leaders in Industrial Ethernet relating to industrial automation and process control will be presenting at the event. In addition, there will be keynote speakers from the industry in Australia and New Zealand at the Mission Critical Network Design Seminar. The seminar comprises three streams: two presentation technology streams on key issues facing the industry and technology advancements; and one hands-on stream where participants work live with managed switches, routers, firewalls and WiFi. It is an event with strictly limited places to ensure the highest quality experience is gained.
