Registration opens for NMW 2015

The National Manufacturing Week 2015 (NMW 2015) is now open for
registration.

Australia’s biggest and longest-running manufacturing industry event,
NMW 2015 will be held in Melbourne from 26 May to 29 May. This year’s edition
will include a wide array of product displays, presentations, networking
opportunities and live demonstrations.

More than 120 companies including BOC, BAC Systems, Lincoln Electric,
BOSCH, Klingspor, Supagas, Stratasys,
Telstra and several leading brands have already confirmed their participation
in the event. Many of these companies will also participate in interactive
demonstrations running on the exhibition floor throughout the four-day event.

NMW 2015’s exceptional conference program will once again feature
world-class speakers sharing their expertise and leading discussions in two
zones, the R&D Hub and Digital Manufacturing Hub.

The R&D Theatre program focuses on innovation and bringing new ideas
to market, with sessions featuring Phil Timbrell of Preformed Line Products
presenting ‘Unusual approaches to getting an idea to a fully testable
product’; Dr John Blakemore speaking on ‘What really are our options?’; and
Mark Steiner, MD Techome and Hetech speaking on ‘Buying or manufacturing
offshore? What to look out for’.

Complementary sessions in the Digital Hub will present speakers
including RMIT University’s Gretchen Wilkins and Ian Nazareth profiling
the Future Factory, and Enhar’s Trent Hawkins speaking
on Increasing Productivity.

NMW 2015 will be co-located with Austech, the SMART Logistics conference
and the Safety First Conference & Expo, to harness shared
energies from the manufacturing, transport, building and construction,
government and broader industry sectors.

The online My Event Planner is a new feature of NMW 2015,
which equips all participants with a useful tool for scheduling meetings and
demos, creating an event timetable and even connecting with exhibitors and
other visitors to make the most of the manufacturing industry event.

Anthony Reed, Event Director for NMW 2015 comments that the event
presents a platform for manufacturers who want to be part of the Australian
manufacturing success story by taking advantage of new ideas, new solutions and
capabilities presented at the exhibition.
