SEW-Eurodrive, has launched ‘DriveConfigurator’, a new online resource designed to simplify the selection of drive system components. Presenting industry with a virtual ‘see-before-you-buy’ resource, DriveConfigurator allows users to select drive components from the complete SEW-Eurodrive solution-set to build a virtual end-to-end drive solution, and access project-specific product data and quotations, all from a PC.
According to SEW-Eurodrive Victorian sales and product manager, Darren Klonowski, planning, specifying and configuring drive technology can be challenging, so innovative tools that go some way to streamlining the process are essential.
“DriveConfigurator has been designed to fast-track and simplify the initial selection of the drive components for any application,” he said. “It allows users to consider and compare multiple drive system component combinations before making a final choice. It really puts the user in the driver’s seat.”
DriveConfigurator users are guided through the selection process with easy-to-understand prompts and illustrations. Once drive components and accessories have been selected, users can choose to download information pertinent to the motors, geared-motors and frequency inverters of interest.
These include operating instructions, technical manuals, dimension sheets, spare parts lists, manufacturers’ declarations and declarations of conformity, and 2D and 3D CAD-Model information. Users also have the option of sending a request for quotation to a contact partner at SEW-Eurodrive. All selected items can be stored online for future reference and review.
DriveConfigurator is accessible through SEW-Eurodrive’s DriveGate customer portal.
