TUV Functional Safety Courses scheduled across Australia

Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is hosting TÜV Functional Safety Courses across Australia in March, April, May and October 2010.

During the four-day, interactive course, participants will learn how to design, implement and maintain emergency shutdown and safety systems in accordance with the latest IEC/AS61508 and IEC/AS61511 standards, according to HPS.

The courses will also address how to determine the right number of redundant safety channels to minimise cost whilst ensuring safety and plant availability, HPS says.

Honeywell principal consultant, Safety and Advanced Applications Bob Weiss, will facilitate the course. Participants will be required to take an exam on the final day to obtain TÜV certification.
